About Me

I am Nancy Gonzalez, an artist and designer living in the sunny side of Southern California. I am a proud Mexican American and like to represent myself as a strong latina thriving to be the best version of myself. I have now learned to fall in love with my passion towards art and have been challenging myself to learn anything and everything possible to make me a better artist. After graduating, my goal is to start my own online street wear clothing line where I can still apply all of my skills and be my own boss. My clothing line will represent creativity, positivity and always thinking higher of yourself. Within that message, I will create a fearless community who are not afraid to express their own unique selves.

My Favorite Apps

 Logo Name  Rate Genre  Comments
Instagram  8/10  Social Media Networking  This is my most used app, and is one of the largest platforms for social networking around the world. It is open for anyone to post photos and videos. It is a beneficial platform if you use it in the right way for personal gain for your business or other fields. I personally use this platform to inspire people to work hard for their dreams and also to document my growth throughout time. This place gives me the freedom to post my creative modeling photos and has developed to surround myself with other creators. I have met a lot of people through Instagram that inspire me to always keep creating. Another reason I use it for is for fashion and to keep me up on what it trending.
Podcast 10/10  Entertainment  This quickly became one of my favorite apps last semester. It is such an underrated app but I know it will soon become a huge influence platform. There are so many categories to choose from such as: the law of attraction, art history, to scary stories. I like to listen to podcasts when I am in school working on my art. Time goes by fast, where I get work done and I am also getting useful information. Some of my favorite categories I listen to are girl boss talks, daily horoscopes, and history of fashion. One day in the near future I will start my own podcast.
Pintrest 9/10   Utilities  This is an inspiration app for me. I can compare this to youtube but in image form. You can search for anything and it will give you information about that topic. I usually use this app for art, fashion, and photoshoots because it lets me create category boards to pin (save) the image. They also have the best quotes which I always use for my instagram caption posts. Besides that, I also use it for for food recipes which are made to be easy to follow. Lastly, it is a great way to try out homemade remedies for anything you need.
YouTube  9/10  Utilities/ Entertainment   Youtube is a huge video sharing platform for music and for creators to upload original content. I reach for this app every single day whether it's for music, entertainment or inspiration. Like I said this is just like pinterest but with endless visual information.Over the years I felt my youtube feed became about influencers which do not benefit me at all, so I had to discipline myself and change my feed. I now try to only go to YouTube for three main things: 1. My everyday music. 2. To get history information and inspiration about fashion. 3. Adobe program tutorials.

My Design Philosophy

As a creator the possibilities are endless, therefore, I believe we never stop creating. In elementary, I loved the freedom as a little girl being able to create something with my hands. The freedom of not being worried of being jugded. Now as an adult, I realized that you have to fall in love with your passion. You have to be able to dig deep and learn everything you can create unique art and have to have an opened mind. Artists are creative problem solvers, which is something I recently discorvered and finally understand. With that being said, you have to read, learn the history, and start experimenting but also be okay with failing because through failing, you learn most lessons.
