Design Process

Design Brief


(1) What is the purpose (goal) of the design?

The purpose of this design is to inspire people into their creative minds. This is also to bring awareness to CSUF art community and encourage people to join the art event.

(2) Who is the audience?

This is targeted to CSUF students/ staff, friends, family and also locals in the community.

(3) What message needs to be communicated?

The message is for people to be aware of the time, date, and location for this art event.

(5) What is the context?

The art designs will be seen through emails, advertising posters, and a video projection during the event.

(6) In what voice?

01: To think outside the box and out your comfortzone. 02: inspiring, animated, exciting, unique, and energetic.

(7) What kind of response is desired

The ideal resonse is for people to recognize the beauty of the art community. I want the viewers to want to join in further events as it is opened to anyone.



About this event

Displayed as two column text setting: column-count: 2; ACTIVATE! 2020 is a one-night presentation of multiple installations and exhibitions situated in the Visual Arts courtyard and galleries (Begovich, Duff, Exit and Freedman). Participating areas include: Art Education, Ceramics, Creative Photography + Experimental Media, Jewelry + Metals, Drawing Painting, Entertainment Art/Animation, Exhibition Design, Foundations, Glass, Graphic Interactive Design, and Sculpture. ACTIVATE! 2020 is presented as part of Arts Week 2020, and is organized by the College of the Arts and Nicholas Lee Begovich Gallery, and in partnership with Arts Interclub Council (AICC).
